Otis Rush (born April 29, 1935 in Philadelphia, Mississippi) is a
blues musician, singer and guitarist. His distinctive guitar
style features a slow burning sound and long bent notes. With
similar qualities to Magic Sam and Buddy Guy, his sound became
known as West Side Chicago blues and became an influence on many
musicians including Michael Bloomfield and Eric Clapton.

Rush is left-handed and, unlike many other left-handed
guitarists, plays a left-handed instrument strung upside-down
with the low E string at the bottom. He played often with the
little finger of his pick hand curled under the low E for
positioning. It is widely believed that this contributes to his
distinctive sound. He has a wide-ranging, powerful tenor voice.

Robert William Gary Moore (4 April 1952 6 February 2011), was a
Northern Irish musician, most widely recognised as a singer and
guitarist.

In a career dating back to the 1960s, Moore played with artists
including Phil Lynott and Brian Downey during his teens, leading
him to memberships with the Irish bands Skid Row and Thin Lizzy
on three separate occasions. Moore shared the stage with such
blues and rock luminaries as B.B. King, Albert King, Colosseum
II, George Harrison and Greg Lake, as well as having a successful
solo career. He guested on a number of albums recorded by high
profile musicians, including a cameo appearance playing the lead
guitar solo on “Shes My Baby” from Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3.

the “father of modern Chicago blues”. He was a major inspiration

Roy Buchanan (September 23, 1939 August 14, 1988) was an
American guitarist and blues musician. A pioneer of the
Telecaster sound, Buchanan was a sideman and solo artist, with
two gold albums early in his career, and two later solo albums
that made it on to the Billboard chart. Despite never having
achieved stardom, he is still considered a highly influential
guitar player. Although not mentioned on the Rolling Stone list
“100 Greatest Guitarists of all Time,” Guitar Player praised him
as one of the “50 Greatest Tones of all Time.”

Hot Wires is a 1987 album by American guitarist and Blues
musician Roy Buchanan. This was his third record for Alligator
Records. It was recorded by Justin Niebank and mixed by Niebank
and Tim Hale with Brian Poer and David Axelbaum assisting. It was
mastered by Tom Coyne and produced by Roy Buchanan, Dick Shurman,
Justin Niebank and Bruce Iglauer. This was Buchanans last album.
